Minority yes, but it has been growing over the past years. Heck, some of the popular mask makers have multiple year queues if you want a custom. I think Sigma has it at two years Plus, kemono kigs have also been growing in popularity recently. (That catgirl(?) Hatsune Miku kig from the lookalike contest in the US is an example)
